SPIIOW – the Isle of Wight’s Suicide Prevention and Intervention organisation has another new community partner who is playing their part to show support to the local community.
WP Recruitment & HR Ltd from Newport has stepped up to offer their clients / local businesses training in suicide prevention to be used in the work place and in the community
Sarah Adams of Suicide Prevention & Intervention IOW says:
We are so grateful to WP Recruitment & HR Ltd for showing their support towards our suicide training workshops. With the very kind support they are giving, more local business, origination’s and the community across the Island will have access to more suicide alter helpers – who can then bring in extra help like SPIIOW when required.
The support that WP Recruitment & HR Ltd have already given to its clients and the Island community are already clear to see – on their website – www.wprecruitment.co.uk they have a great section called “Mental Health in the Workplace Resources – Working Well” that shows they are a key player in this field.
Kate Thomas says:
This year in recognition of 30 years of business we felt it our responsibility to give back to the clients and community that have supported us. Raising awareness of Mental Health is such an important matter to us as people are our business and these issues can affect anyone, at any stage of their life. SPIIOW provide such a valuable service, Island suicide rates are higher than the national average and especially around this time of year more people can be vulnerable, we want to help Island Businesses to be better prepared to engage, retain and recognise when they need to offer help to their staff to reduce the risk and aid in their recovery.
